Adding Templates from the Marketplace
This guide explains how to browse, preview, customize, and add new templates from the marketplace to your personal template collection.
Overview
The marketplace contains pre-built templates created by administrators that you can use as a starting point for your documentation needs. These templates include various categories like reports, procedures, letters, and custom notes.
Accessing the Marketplace
- Navigate to Templates: From the main navigation, click on "Templates"
- Select Market Tab: Click on the "Market" tab to view available marketplace templates
- Browse Templates: You'll see a list of all available templates with their:
- Name
- Category (Report, Procedure, Letter, Custom Note)
- Language (English/German)
- Last Update date
- Status
Previewing a Template
- View Template Details: Click the "View" button on any template you're interested in
- Template Preview Page: This opens a detailed view where you can:
- See the template name and category
- Review the template's current settings
- Preview sample documents
- Customize various parameters before adding to your collection
Customizing Template Settings
Before adding a template to your collection, you can customize several key parameters:
Basic Settings
- Category: Choose between Report, Procedure, or Letter
- Tone: Select from Professional, Informal, Normal, or Formal
- Voice: Choose First Person, Passive, or Third Person
- Verbosity: Select Concise, Moderate, Elaborate, or Verbose
Sample Documents (Reports, Procedures, Letters)
- Advanced Instructions: (Advanced) Adjust the exact instructions that the AI will use to render the final note
- Sample Documents: Edit the examples document using the rich text editor
These sample documents serve as examples of how the template will generate content and can be customized to better match your specific use case.
Adding Elements (Custom Note Templates)
For Custom Note templates, you'll also need to:
- Add Elements: Click "Add Element" to include building blocks
- Select a Category: History, Exam, Results, Medications, Assessment, Other
- Configure Elements: Each element can have its own:
- Tone settings
- Voice preferences
- Verbosity level
- Reorder Elements: Drag and drop elements to arrange them in your preferred order
- Edit Elements: Click the edit icon to modify element settings
- Remove Elements: Delete elements that aren't needed for your use case
Adding the Template to Your Collection
- Review Customizations: Ensure all your changes are as desired
- Click "Add Template": This button appears in the top-right corner of the preview page
- Template Added: The template is now available in your "My Templates" section
What Happens When You Add a Template
- Personal Copy Created: A copy of the marketplace template is created in your personal collection. You can further edit or modify your copy of the template at any time
- Customizations Preserved: All your edits and customizations are saved
- Independent Template: Your copy is completely independent from the marketplace version
- Future Updates: Changes to the marketplace template won't affect your personal copy
Managing Your Added Templates
After adding a template from the marketplace:
- Access My Templates: Go to the "My Templates" tab
- Find Your Template: Locate the newly added template in your list
- Further Customization: You can continue to edit and modify the template
- Use in Documents: The template is now available when creating new documents
Tips for Effective Template Usage
- Preview First: Always preview and customize templates before adding them
- Test Elements: For custom note templates, ensure elements are properly configured
- Save Regularly: Make sure to save your customizations before adding to your collection
- Organize: Use descriptive names for your customized templates
- Iterate: Don't hesitate to make further adjustments after adding to your collection
Troubleshooting
Template Not Appearing
- Ensure you clicked "Add Template" and received confirmation
- Check the "My Templates" tab for your newly added template
- Refresh the page if needed
Customizations Not Saved
- Make sure to save any changes to sample documents before adding the template
- For custom note templates, ensure all elements are properly configured
- Check that you're not in edit mode when trying to add the template
Elements Issues
- Ensure at least one element is added before saving custom note templates
- Verify element settings are properly configured
- Check that elements are in the correct order
